NABA CBD FAQs

What is CBD (Cannabidiol)?

CBD (Cannabidiol) is a non-psychoactive compound found in cannabis sativa plants.

Where does CBD come from?

CBD (cannabidiol) is a cannabinoid found in the cannabis sativa plant. In legal terms, this plant can be classified as cannabis or hemp based on the THC (tetrahydrocannabinol) content of the plant. If a cannabis plant contains more than 0.3% THC, it is considered cannabis and therefore federally illegal. However, if a cannabis sativa plant contains less than 0.3% THC, it can be classified as a hemp plant and therefore legal under the 2018 Farm Bill.

Will CBD help me with anxiety, stress, or other health issues?

FDA (Food and Drug Administration) has made it abundantly clear that companies cannot make any unsubstantiated health claims about their products – Especially when it comes to CBD. FDA routinely sends out warnings to companies that make unsubstantiated health claims about what health conditions cannabidiol can help with. It is our stance that it is irresponsible and deceptive for a company to make any type of claim like that to consumers.

On every bottle we produce you can see the following WARNING: "NABA product and statements have not been evaluated or approved by the FDA or any other governmental or regulatory body. This product is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease, disorder or physical or mental condition."

We leave the health recommendations to doctors and health care professionals. Our focus is providing customers with the most effective CBD products on the market.

Is there THC in NABA Concepts water soluble CBD nano emulsion products?

No, there is zero THC in NABA Concepts CBD products. With every batch of our products, we receive third party lab results to confirm that our CBD and THC content is exactly what we say it is. For verification of this, please see the test results located on each product page under the tab "Test Results".

Why do you use CBD nanoemulsions in NABA products?

We make NABA CBD products with a nano emulsion of CBD because CBD is a highly lipophilic and hydrophobic compound. This means CBD molecules will mix with fat, but will resist and separate from water molecules. With the human body being comprised of at least 60% water, this can make absorbing standard CBD oil a difficult task.

You can see examples of this in the low bioavailability and absorption rates reported in scientific studies for CBD oil. The human body will digest and excrete most of the CBD oil without it ever being absorbed into systemic circulation.

Think of what happens when you mix oil and water (in a salad dressing, for example). For a few seconds it will look like they are mixed together, and then the oil floats to the surface and separates from the water completely. A similar process occurs in the body when consuming standard oil based CBD products; the body just can’t easily absorb the compound into the blood stream.

By utilizing nano emulsion technology, we are able to create a water-soluble CBD. This means it can be easily mixed with water-based products, it’s shelf stable, and most importantly the increased bioavailability and efficacy can be felt within minutes rather than the hours it may take to feel standard CBD oil products. Once you try our NABA CBD Hyro*Spray you will never want to use a standard oil based CBD product again.

For more information on why CBD nano emulsions are so effective, see our NABA Technology page.

Does CBD show up on a drug test?

It would depend on what metabolites the drug test is testing for, but most standard urine analysis drug tests do not test for CBD. However, virtually all drug tests do test for THC, which can cause a problem for CBD users if the CBD they consume has any amount of THC in it. In order to be considered a hemp product that is legal under the 2018 Farm Bill, a hemp plant and its derivatives must only contain less than 0.3% THC. Because of this, many hemp-based CBD products have small amounts of THC in them. Although 0.3% may not sound like much, any amount of THC metabolites in your system could possibly trigger a failure on a drug test.

For our current products, we use strictly zero THC CBD. This means that the CBD we use has been extracted so thoroughly that lab tests cannot detect any amount of THC. NABA CBD products are always third-party lab tested to ensure that they are THC free before the batch can be released to consumers.

Where are NABA Concepts CBD products made?

Our CBD is extracted from hemp grown in the United States under the 2018 Farm Bill. The CBD then undergoes our unique NABA nano emulsion process in our clean room lab in Southern California. We then complete production in our processing and bottling lab space connected to our clean room. All of our facilities meet cGMP and ISO standards, which helps guarantee that every batch of NABA products are made in the best possible conditions.
